Hello health advocates,
It’s Thyroid awareness week. ????
It blows my mind how many people are going through the same things I went through. It amazes me how many others aren’t receiving proper care.
I remember hearing that Hashimoto’s is a progressive condition, and I’d just have to wait for my thyroid to die out and then be on medication for the rest of my life.
I remember the feelings of hopelessness, anxiety, and weight gain.
Maybe you’re in the throes of your journey, and perhaps some of what I’ve shared resonates with you. Or maybe you know someone struggling with an autoimmune disease.
Together, we can take the right steps towards healing.
After a lot of studying and learning how to take control of my own health, I was able to partner with medical practitioners and figure out how to put Hashimoto’s into its place. That is silencing it for good.????
My goal is to help you reduce and eliminate symptoms and triggers causing the autoimmune attack.
So let’s start from the beginning.
- Detox: Starting off with a gentle detox often produces amazing results for my clients. 16/8 fasting is a fantastic way to kick this off. (16/8 fasting is limiting any calorie intake to an 8-hour window)
- Nutrient Deficiencies: Nutrient deficiencies are real and troublesome. Low Iron and zinc and vitamin D are the main perpetrators. You need supplements you can implement to realign your system. Once your body is properly absorbing nutrients, you’ll be amazed at the difference in everything from energy levels to hair loss. As with all supplements, we suggest testing of levels is essential to determine how much you need and what you need. As compounding pharmacists, we can then tailor a specific nutrient to your body’s requirements. Talk to our pharmacists about our nutrient testing and prepare a personalised supplement for you.
- Gut Healing: This is an important one and you definitely don’t want to miss it. Healing the gut is a huge part of the recovery process since a leaky gut is known to trigger Hashimoto’s.
- Medications: As a pharmacist, this is important to me, it’s so important when taking hormones less is more!! What to take, how to take them and when to take them. All so relevant with thyroid.
- Dental Triggers: This is often overlooked but plays a vital role. Disruptions to the oral microbiome brought about by procedures, mouthwash or even toothpaste can cause inflammation and immune responses. Conversely, thyroid issues may cause problems with teeth and dental health.
